About Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro

For almost 150 years, Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro has been providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed at universities in Brazil and around the world. Our pedagogic proposal allows students to create a tailored learning pathway by choosing one of three curricula.

This curriculum provides language learning opportunities in different contexts, promoting fluency in German and English while preserving Brazilian cultural identity. The programme integrates academic depth, critical thinking, socio-emotional development, financial and digital education, sports, and the arts. Throughout the course, internationally recognised certifications validate bilingual training on a global level.

This curriculum complies with both Brazilian and German legislation, enabling dual certification and the completion of the Abitur, the German equivalent of High School. With a multilingual approach (German, English, and Portuguese) and Brazilian and German teachers, this curriculum promotes multicultural sensitivity, autonomy, and creativity, integrating socio-emotional development, sports and arts so that students can act confidently in diverse cultural contexts.

This is an international programme recognised by leading universities in Brazil and around the world. Students can personalise their High School education by choosing subjects and levels of depth that align with their interests and abilities. In addition to critical thinking, the course develops social skills, communication, research and self-management skills, preparing students for the challenges of higher education and international careers.
